The Philadelphia Falcons, Philadelphia’s premier LGBTQIA+ soccer nonprofit, is teaming up with community partners to sponsor our 16th Liberty Bell Classic soccer tournament on Saturday, October 24th, 2026. This tournament welcomes players of all skill levels and gender identities, with three divisions to choose from: 

• Open - Recreational: open to players of any gender identity who are looking for a recreational-to-intermediate level of play.
• Open - Competitive: open to players of any gender identity who are looking for an intermediate-to-advanced level of play. 
• FLINTA: open to players of any gender identity within the FLINTA umbrella (women, lesbian, intersex, non-binary, trans, and agender).

Venue (same as last year): Temple STAR Complex (1816 N 15th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19121)

• Indoor turf fields
• Players may wear turf shoes or soccer cleats (no metal studs) - shin guards required!

Duration: ~ 8:30 am - 4:30 pm

Format:

• 5 v. 5 including goalie (max 12 players per team)

• ~20-25-minute games
• 12x6 ft nets, futsal balls (we will actually use futsal balls this year)

Sign up as a free agent (you can create a small group with up to 3 friends) or as a full team and compete to snatch the LBC crown! Register before 11:59 pm on Monday, September 21st, to get the lowest price and secure your spot in the 2026 Liberty Bell Classic. To secure the early bird rate, Team Captains must pay in full before the September 21st deadline. Reach out to secretary@phillyfalcons.org if you or your team needs a flexible payment solution.

Captains, please note that you will be asked to provide a team name, a brief team description, a logo (email marketing@phillyfalcons.org if you'd like support creating one), and any social media handles when registering. We request these details so we can promote your participation in the LBC.

Tournament registration includes:

• Minimum 4 games played
• Pre-tournament social/mixer on Friday, October 23rd from ~6-8 pm (location TBA)
• Commemorative tournament shirts & other swag (your team can bring its own jerseys)
• Post-tournament social/mixer on Saturday, October 24th (details TBA)
• Other TBA discounts

Pending interest, we may organize a brunch on Sunday, October 25th, with tickets to be purchased separately.
