What is the 2025 LBC weekend schedule of events?
Friday, October 17th
- LBC Welcome Party from 6-8 pm at 254 (254 S 12th St, Philadelphia, PA 19107). The party will be on the second floor - we'll have signs directing you to us. Come out to meet other LBC participants, bid on some fun raffle items, and take some fun pics at our Selfie Station. Stick around after for the Lotus Lounge show at 9, but don't party too hard before the tournament :).
Saturday, October 18th
- LBC Tournament from ~8:30 am - 4 pm at the Temple Aramark STAR Complex (1816 N 15th St, Philadelphia, PA 19121). Review the game schedule here.
- Post-LBC Social & Bar Hop. Meet other LBC players at 254 around 9 pm and then choose your own adventure in Philly's Gayborhood. See our list of Gayborhood bars and other recommendations here. Stir is offering a special to LBC players.
Sunday, October 19th
- Grab brunch and/or explore the city. Due to low interest, there will be no formal LBC brunch. However, we've compiled several city recommendations (including brunch options) and encourage you to make plans with fellow LBC players to continue socializing.
What are the LBC Tournament rules & guidelines?
Review the Philadelphia Falcon Soccer Club's 2025 LBC Tournament Handbook to understand all tournament rules, policies, venue information (e.g., transportation to the STAR Complex, available amenities), and the LBC Code of Conduct.
Where should I stay if visiting Philadelphia?
Philadelphia has many exciting neighborhoods and abundant housing options. The LBC Committee has compiled some general guidance and recommendations in the following resource: LBC Housing & Hotel Recommendations.
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer host housing for the 2025 LBC due to little availability among our members.
Where can I find the 2025 LBC Game Schedule?
You can review the schedule here. All round-robin and playoff games will be added to LeagueApps. Make sure you have the application downloaded to your phone to get the latest game day updates!
We will start all games promptly! If your team is not ready, you may lose precious playing time!
What is the game format for the 2025 LBC?
All Open and FLINTA division teams will have four 25-minute 5v5 games. Once the round robin concludes, we will transition to a single-elimination playoff with 20-minute 5v5 games. All games are played straight through without half-times.
How do I get to the tournament venue?
We highly recommend taking public transportation or using a ride-sharing app, like Lyft or Uber. Parking can be scarce near the venue, especially when there are ongoing Temple athletic events. Review pg. 10 of the 2025 LBC Handbook for more tips on getting to and entering the STAR Athletic Complex.
Address: 1816 N 15th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19121
What do I need to wear to the tournament?
All players must wear shin guards, turf shoes or cleats (no metal studs), and matching shirts. Each team will receive team shirts in a matching color as part of their registration. However, teams may opt to wear other matching jerseys if they so desire. We will have some pinnies available for any color conflicts.
I'm a Captain. What do I need to do?
- Ensure your entire team is registered and paid in LeagueApps before registration closes. Email LBC@phillyfalcons.org with any registration challenges (missing players, incorrect invoices, etc.), including if your team needs any free agents (limited).
- Review the Tournament Handbook and all tournament rules.
- Download the LeagueApps and WhatsApp to your phone. We will use LeagueApps to display schedules, scores, and share important communications with all LBC attendees. We will use a temporary WhatsApp community to facilitate smooth coordination with captains in the week leading up to and the day of the tournament.
- Reach out to LBC@phillyfalcons.org with sportingactivities@phillyfalcons.org in copy with any questions or concerns.
Will there be snacks and water at the tournament?
We will have four water coolers throughout the facility for participants to fill up their water bottles. However, teams should bring their own snacks and food to consume throughout the day. There are numerous restaurants and food trucks within walking distance of the venue (see the LBC map).
What attractions, bars, and restaurants does Philly have to offer?
Philadelphia has a vibrant collection of restaurants, bars, and historical and cultural attractions, including a thriving LGBTQIA+ community of businesses and organizations. Check out our list of recommendations or our Google Map for ideas.
